This past Friday, Jenny, who has been working on her MSN in Nursing for the past two-and-a-half years, got her degree from San Francisco State University. In the terminology of academia, she was "pinned" and "hooded," which means she got a pin signifying a Nursing degree and a hood for getting her Master's. She also received "honor cords" in recognition of being admitted to the Nursing Honor Society (Sigma Theta Tau). All in all, it was a nice little ceremony, and Jenny was really happy that her sister, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, and in-laws could attend to support her.
It's been a long road to get this far (including a year of pre-requisites) and I'm really proud of how Jenny managed to cope with the workload, the stress, and still find time for her friends, her family, her cats, her knitting, and to generally be the coolest person I know. If you asked her, she'd probably give all the credit to others, including her friend Robyn (who also graduated on Friday, with honors), and even me, her husband, but the fact of the matter is she's done more for us over the last three years then we've done for her. So, it's with a ton of pride and love that I share this silly graduation video with the world:

Show us a nice, warm scarf.
Jenny made a bunch of scarves for our friend Roberta's annual holiday craft sale. She called the collection "Derelicte," since several of the pieces reminded her of the seminal work of Jacobim Mugatu. I helped with the names and the price tags. Overall, the sale was a success and everyone moved a lot of merch. See the entire Derelicte 2006 collection below....
